When is the couple arriving to MECM?

The bride and groom will be arriving to the resort on Friday April 23 for a week! We would love to spend time with family and friends throughout the week. Whether you're staying for a few days or the entire week, we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Welcome Events

Welcome Drinks
We'll be at the Lobby Bar on Friday evening and would love to see you! Whether you're arriving early or late, stop by for a drink and a chance to mingle with family and friends before the wedding festivities begin. Attendance is optional, but we hope to see you there!

Welcome Dinner
We will be hosting a welcome dinner on Saturday night at "Mexican Night"
The evening before the wedding, we will be holding seats for all our guests to enjoy the resort's Mexican Night celebration. This festive event features authentic cuisine, music, and entertainment and is a wonderful opportunity to spend time together before the big day. Please note that attendance is completely optional. Feel free to join us or enjoy the resort and evening at your leisure.

Date: Saturday April 24, 2027
Time: This event begins at 6:00 PM and typically concludes around 10:00 PM
Location: Plaza Independencia
Attire: Causal, but something with a Mexican festive flair would be impressive
Attendance: Optional

Wedding Day Events
Date: Sunday, April 25, 2027; all wedding events will be held outside, weather permitting.
Time and Location:

  • 5 PM Ceremony at Sky Gazebo
  • TBD Cocktail Hour at Tiki Bar
  • 7 PM Private Reception at the Sky Lounge
  • 11 PM After Party at the Draft Sports Bar

Please note: The ceremony will be held in direct sunlight. There will be no shade available, so we encourage guests to bring sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen for comfort.

What is the wedding attire?
Theme: Beach Chic (Semi-Formal)

For Ladies

  • Flowy sundresses, maxi dresses, midi dresses
  • Elegant jumpsuits or dressy separates
  • Light, breathable fabrics such as chiffon, cotton, or linen
  • Elegance sandals, wedges, or block heels
  • Bright colors, pastels, floral prints, or tropical-inspired patterns

For Gentlemen

  • Linen or lightweight cotton shirts
  • Khakis, chinos, or lightweight dress pants
  • Light-colored suits or blazers optional but not necessary
  • Loafers, boat shoes, or dress sandals
  • Common colors include tan, beige, light gray, and light blue.

Staying Connected
We also recommend downloading WhatsApp before your trip. Since we will be traveling internationally, it will be the easiest way for us to share wedding updates, event reminders, meeting locations, and photos throughout the week using Wi‑Fi. The WhatsApp will be how the resort communicates with you as well.

Booking your room by this date is a significant gesture, signaling your attendance and helping the couple accurately plan their wedding. Remember, the special group room rates and reserved inventory are available only until this date. Additionally, please take note of the “Final Payment” date, which is mentioned here and will also be reflected on all your invoices.
